What is included with the banquet hall rental?
At River Room on the Milwaukee, we provide the venue, tables and solid wood cushioned chairs, an on-site Event Manager, and a commercial kitchen for your caterer. Additionally, we have a video projector, sound system and wireless mic available for your use. 

Does River Room offer on-site catering?
River Room does not provide on-site catering. Every couple is unique and we encourage you to choose any licensed and insured caterer that best fits your personality and your event. We have a list of featured vendors that we recommend on our Preferred Vendors page.

Do I have to use vendors from the recommended vendor list?
No. We partner closely with each vendor featured on our list and highly recommend using any of them due to their familiarity with River Room and our trust in their services.  However, we do allow you to choose any caterer that you feel would be the best fit for your event. They must be approved by River Room and provide proof of licensure and insurance prior to your event.

Are linens and tableware available for rent?
No. Linens and tableware should be included with your catering. If your caterer is unable to provide these items, River Room would be happy to coordinate the renting of any items at an additional fee. Of course, our hosts are able to provide their own if preferred.

Can we bring our own liquor and bartenders?
No. Bar service must be purchased through River Room. We have several bar package options for you to select from, or we can customize a package that best fits your needs and budget. No carry in alcohol will be permitted due to Wisconsin Liquor Licensing.

What is the capacity of the space?
Maximum room capacity is 175 for a formal reception. For a casual event, capacity may not exceed 260.

Where can our guests park?
Free public parking is available on the street in front of our building, in the public lot across the street, and at other nearby public parking lots. There are over 325 free public parking spots within a 1 block radius of River Room. Valet parking or shuttle servicesare available for an additional fee.

Is the River Room handicap accessible?
Yes. There is an elevator to access our 2nd floor location and accessible parking in front of our entrance. River Room is fully ADA compliant.

Can we have a rehearsal?
In the event that you are hosting your ceremony and reception at River Room, we will do our best to accommodate a wedding rehearsal. Due to the demand of the room, we unfortunately cannot guarantee that the space will be available the day before your wedding. However, please work with the River Room Event Director to specify a date and time for your rehearsal. Rehearsal charges may apply.

Can I tour the facility?
River Room tours are available by appointment only. Please contact our Event Director at [email protected] or call 262-501-4430.

How do I reserve a date for an event?
Return the signed contract along with your deposit and $300 security deposit. The security deposit is refundable within 15 days following the event if no damage is incurred.

Can we decorate prior to our event?
You may decorate prior to the event, as it is included as part of the rental agreement. There are decoration restrictions, which are included in the agreement.
